Business & Service Executive

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business & Service Executive is responsible for the operation and management of the IT Support business division at Publicus Solutions Ltd.

This is a very exciting but challenging position and therefore you must be enthusiastic, dedicated, proactive, responsible and self-motivated.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Management
  • Hire and train work placement staff on the helpdesk
  • Manage client service requests and internal resources
  • Amend and improve internal IT Support process
  • Report to Directors
Sales
  • Acquire new clients for IT Support contracts
  • Write sales proposals for new business
  • Obtain quotations for new solutions and hardware
  • Explain Publicus products and services
  • Negotiate contract terms
Account Management
  • Specify, quote, and purchase standard client hardware requirements
  • Manage client contracts
Technical Support
  • Answer main telephone support line and monitor support email address
  • Resolve all Service Requests in a timely manner
  • Provide enthusiastic proactive and efficient service to all clients and users
  • Provide written and verbal communication to the client and users explaining any details regarding a service request
  • Provide timely follow-ups and proactive communication to clients and users for open Service Requests
  • Resolve issues with Windows desktop and server Operating systems
  • Resolve issues with desktop software
  • Resolve issues with server software
  • Perform administration on clients systems for events like new users or system maintenance
  • Perform software installations
  • Configure and install ADSL routers and small network firewall devices
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose IT related problems
  • Perform visits to client site
  • Maintain relevant data and Service Requests in OpenERP system
Consultancy
  • Consult the client on a requirement and identify the need
  • Provide advice to clients
  • Implement Windows Small Business Server 2003 and 2008 solutions
  • Scope and define typical client projects like – office move, server upgrade
  • Deal with Third Party organisations that the client works with
  • Manage Third Parties on the client’s behalf
Project Management
  • Manage projects engaged in by the client – server implementation, office move

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
This is an ideal opportunity for any experienced IT person wanting to take a commercial challenge.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows SBS 2003, Windows SBS 2008, basic networking, DNS
    • 3+ years experience in IT
    • Professionally presented

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • Full time - Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
    • 20 days annual leave
    • Basic salary + OTE on commercial performance
